Militants lob grenade on Police party in Shopain, some injuries reported
Srinagar, June 04: (GNS)Militants on Monday hurled a grenade on police party near Batpora area of South Kashmir's Shopian district.Official sources told GNS that militants lobbed the grenade on police officer's vehicle near Batpora.
In the blast some policemen are said to have received splinter injuries, they saidSources said cops retaliated by firing some gunshots.
Unconfirmed reports said that some civilians suffered injuries in the incident.
DIG South Kashmir Amit Kumar confirmed the attack. He said police are verifying further details.
